Tip On How To Find Shoes
- Have a stiff back. Hold the heel in one hand and the shoe above the heel in the other. The shoe should not be able to move side to side around the heel.
- It should have a small amount of torque. Grab the shoe at both ends. You should be able to twist it a bit.
- Bend your toes.
- Provide arch support. If the shoe does not have arch support, add one. The products from Spenco, Powerstep, and Superfeet are usually comfortable. Verify that the arch support fits comfortably in the shoe without squeezing the toes or causing the shoes to slip off the heel.
- The toes should be wide and long enough. The shoe should not push the toes in or curl them.
- It should feel comfortable right away.
